As spirulina has a slightly seaweed taste it works really well in this Japanese miso soup recipe.
This recipe is deliciously savoury and comforting and takes only a few minutes to make…
Ingredients:
20g instant dashi (Japanese stock) or 3 tsp good quality vegetable stock
800ml hot water (not boiling)
4x spring onions
2x tbsp white miso paste
1 tbsp soy sauce
200g tofu, cubed
1 tsp KIKI Health Organic Spirulina Powder
How to create:
Put the dashi (or vegetable stock) with the hot water in a saucepan, and stir well.
Finely slice the spring onions on a diagonal and add to the pan. Simmer for three minutes.
Place the miso paste in a small bowl and add a ladleful of the hot broth, whisking with a small whisk to get rid of any lumps. When smooth, slowly pour the mixture back into the saucepan, whisking constantly.
Add the soy sauce and tofu. Heat through gently, without boiling. Add the Spirulina making sure it’s mixed thoroughly.
Serve and enjoy!
