In the wild, Lion's Mane grows on hardwood trees, using wood as its nutrient source. This considered cultivation method encourages the development of mature fruiting bodies without relying on grain as the primary growing medium.

We use only the mature fruiting body of the Lion's Mane mushroom, rather than mycelium grown on grain. The fruiting body contains naturally occurring beta-glucans and other mushroom compounds, providing a pure starting material for our extract without added grain, starch or growing substrate.

Our organic Lion's Mane extract is standardised to 50% beta-glucan-rich polysaccharides. Beta-glucans are naturally occurring compounds found within mushroom cell walls and are an important area of mushroom research. This declared standardisation provides a consistent specification for our concentrated extract.

Our extract has a concentrated ratio of 15:1–17:1, meaning approximately 15–17 parts of starting mushroom material are used to produce one part of finished extract.
