Our organic raw maca powder is a blend of all 4 different roots: 25% red, yellow, purple and black, encompassing all the benefits of the maca powerhouse and offering you a unique nutritional profile.

Certified organic
Our Maca Powder is certified Organic by the UK Soil Organisation. This means that it is pesticide free and complies with the Soil Association strict organic farming requirements. During the manufacturing process the product and the packaging materials are not exposed to pesticides or pesticide residues. Pesticides are not stored on site, nor used in the manufacturing or warehousing areas.
Non - GMO

The Maca we use to make our Organic Maca Powder is not subject to genetic modifications. Process controls are in place to ensure no accidental contamination with genetically modified materials, or materials derived thereafter, can occur.

Allergen free

Our Organic Maca powder is gluten, soy, and dairy free. We add no other ingredients to our Maca Powder. It’s just 100% pure, plant-based, natural, raw maca. It is suitable for both vegans and vegetarians.

 

Grown in the Peruvian Andes

Maca is a root vegetable that only grows at very high altitudes – between 3000 and 4000 metres above sea level – high in the Andean mountains of Peru away from environmental contaminants. The robust root battles extreme conditions and is able to withstand high winds and temperatures as low as -10°C.

Maca is the Peruvian root mainly used as food, but it’s also been used traditionally in Peru as a mood elevator and aphrodisiac.

Researchers are now backing up what Peruvians have known for generations.

In addition to its positive effects on sex, maca has also been shown to lower blood pressure and improve depression in postmenopausal women.

Preliminary findings in a 2008 study show that Lepidium meyenii (Maca) (3.5 g/d) reduces psychological symptoms, including anxiety and depression, and lowers measures of sexual dysfunction in postmenopausal women independent of estrogenic and androgenic activity.

The Process

Our Organic Raw Maca Powder is the raw and natural form of this special root – gently dried (below 45°C) and ground to preserve it’s vitality and nutritional structure. 

  1. WASHING

Carefully hand picked and washed in natural water

  1. CRUSHING

The dried roots are cleaned and broken into small pieces

  1. DRYING

The maca is naturally dried in the sun over three months using an open-air drying process

  1. MILLING

It is then milled into a fine powder

  1. PACKAGING

The powder is then packaged into glass amber bottles to preserve the nutrient rich content
